Nintendo is scheduled to discuss their mobile plans for the future tomorrow, but today they revealed several interesting things about the company’s performance over the past few months. According to president Tatsumi Kimishima, Nintendo has shipped 21 million amiibo worldwide since launch. Around 10.6 million amiibo have been sold since March of this year.
The information wasn’t divided up between countries so there’s no telling what percentage of North American sales can be attributed to those numbers, but that’s still a huge success for Nintendo, who posted an operating profit for this quarter for the first time in five years.
