All of our gift ideas have related to the experience of gaming so far, but what about before you get the game? Most people are happy to drive to GameStop and have their ear talked off about PowerUp rewards and trade-in credits, but I actually hate shopping for games. I’ve not yet had a good experience in a GameStop, so I avoid them like the plague if I can. Amazon Prime has helped with that a ton. For $99 a year, Amazon will give you free, two day shipping and pre-orders are delivered on release day.
That’s not the only benefit of Prime, however. Recently Amazon has been expanding their catalogue of videos and music available on the service. Just recently, Amazon acquired HBO’s back log of shows available for Prime members to stream, for free. Their Prime Music subscription also means you can listen to any tunes they have available, for free.
Amazon periodically has good deals on games, but as a non-Prime member, you have to spend at least $35 in order to get free shipping. With a Prime membership, that’s no longer a problem and you can continue to sweep up those good Amazon deals on games, movies, and more, all without having to worry about paying for shipping.
While it’s not related specifically for gaming, we can’t think of a better gift idea for the person who has everything because they keep buying it themselves. Make that experience better with Prime.
