The Pokemon Company has announced a new championship for Pokken Tournament that will be held during the 2016 Pokemon World Championships in San Francisco. The fighting game is also set to appear at this year’s Evo 2016 tournament in July.
The game itself will release in North America and Europe on March 18, the same day the game is made available on home consoles in Japan. The Pokken World Championships will be an invitation-only event for those who qualified during the season. The event itself will take place on August 19 through 21.
