One of the big launch titles for the Wii U, if not the biggest one, is New Super Mario Bros U. But that’s not the only NSMB game Nintendo os working on — they’re currently putting the finishing touches on New Super Mario Bros 2 for the 3DS, which will be released next month. Nintendo producer Takashi Tezuka says that NSMB 2 for the 3DS will “raise the bar” in terms of gameplay and features, making it the best NSMB game to date. But according to Tezuka, New Super Mario Bros U on the Wii U will be even better.
Speaking to Nintendo el Presidente Satoru Iwata at the latest “Iwata Asks” segment, Tezuka talked about all the hard work that has gone into NSMB 2 on the 3DS, which will launch in late August with the new 3DS XL model. But as for the Wii U version, they intend to make it “even better”, as Tezuka puts it. New Super Mario Bros U was recently rumored to launch after the Wii U console hits the stores, up to a few months later. But Nintendo has since commented that New Super Mario Bros U launch date is still on track. Either way, it’s looking like a must-have Wii U game.
