Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 coming to Wii U in the future

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 Wii U
Konami has announced that its Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 will be coming to the Wii U in the future. However, the publisher stresses that for the time being, they’re focusing on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version. The game uses the brand new Fox Engine, which according to Konami hasn’t been optimized for the Wii U console. In an interview with Spanish site Vandal, Konami’s Manorito Hosada says that the development team needs more time to make the engine and game work on the Wii U. Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is set for release on other platforms on October 2, and we’ll probably have to wait until early 2013 for the Wii U version. If you need your football / soccer fix earlier, EA Sports will release FIFA 13 when the Wii U launches.

So far we haven’t heard much from Konami on the Wii U front — Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 looks like the first game they have confirmed for the console. There have been rumors of a Metal Gear Solid game on the Wii U in 2013, but so far we haven’t seen anything. Earlier today, it was confirmed that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 won’t be coming to Nintendo’s new console, as the development team is busy working on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.
