Over the last month or so, Nintendo has been selling an average of 5,000 Wii U consoles per week in Japan. Last week, that number tripled to over 15,000, thanks to a brand new Splatoon bundle.
The new bundle pushed the Wii U up to third on the best-selling consoles list, selling almost as many units as the 3DS.
As for Splatoon, the game was the second best-selling game in Japan last week. It was a pretty good week for Wii U games in general, with 3 Wii U titles in the top 5.
