
The Nintendo 64 launched on June 23, 1996 in Japan, making it 20 years old today. And with the console launched Super Mario 64, a groundbreaking 3D platform game. Over the next several years, the N64 got some of the best games in history: Zelda: Ocarina of Time and GoldenEye 007.
The console was officially discontinued in 2003, after selling 33 million units worldwide.
