Despite confirmation from a Nintendo representative that the Super Mario line of amiibos wouldn’t be as rare as the initial run of Super Smash Bros. amiibos, one statement has caused die-hard fans to make sure they pre-order the Toad amiibo. According to the representative, of that set of amiibos, only Toad is receiving a smaller print count than the other five in the series. Even with that said, Toad is not “supposed” to be rare, but he’s been hard to find since the amiibos were announced.
Walmart now has the Toad amiibo available for pre-order, so if you’re wanting to collect all six figures in the Super Mario amiibo collection, you might want to snag one while they still have it in stock.
Best Buy has also restocked their supply of the series yesterday, but that supply seems to have already run out.
