The NES Remix games have been quite popular among Wii U owners, with the NES Remix 2 series featuring several popular NES games, including Super Mario Bros. 3 and Wario’s Woods. If you liked the first game and plan on picking up the second when it’s available on April 25, you’ll be happy to know that the game’s director, Koichi Hayashid would like to do Remix games for other systems as well, including the SNES, Game Boy and Game Boy Advance.
Well personally I’m a fan of those games (Mega Man, Castlevania, and Contra), and I like them a lot. If there’s a big enough outpouring of support for these titles, it’s something I’d like to take a look at. Well, personally, I have a large desire to explore that very idea (SNES, GBA versions of NES Remix), but it really harkens back to the answer I just gave. Does the marketplace want it or need it? If we get a big enough cry for that, with a lot of people saying, ‘Hey, we’d love to see more of these perhaps for the SNES, Game Boy or Game Boy Advance,’ then it would be something we can take a look at.
Remember, Miiverse is a great place to let Nintendo know that you’d like to see other games given the same treatment, as the community is heavily moderated and several key Nintendo personalities often take part in their respective communities. Let Nintendo know if you’d like to see more Remix games of other systems by being vocal.
