During the Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata made several new announcements about Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The first is that there is now an Animal Crossing Miiverse community for you to share all of your favorite screenshots and discuss specific villagers with others. You can also share QR codes in the Miiverse community.
The second is a new Animal Crossing Plaza similar to WaraWara Plaza that is typically seen when users start their Wii U. All of the villagers from Animal Crossing will roam around in the Plaza and you can talk to them to see their specific Miiverse posts. This plaza is available as a free download and will be available to the end of 2014.
