Hacker shows Gamecube games running in vWii on Wii U

One of the top questions we get in our email inbox weekly asks when Nintendo will release Gamecube games for the Wii U virtual console. We don’t know that until Nintendo announces it, but one hacker has managed to use VWii on the Wii U in order to get Gamecube games running. Since it’s not possible to use Gamecube games directly on the Wii U without an attachment, he did the next best thing, using a PS3 controller. The hacker mentions sound problems for the ROM which is why the music is different, but this proves that the Wii U is certainly capable of running Gamecube games.
