When the official unveil and press release for Call of Duty: Ghosts hit earlier today, Activision made no mention of the Wii U. The only umbrella term used was that the game is confirmed for next-gen consoles and a live preview will be available at the next Xbox unveiling on May 21st. The Examiner contacted Activision and received a response when asked whether or not the game would be coming to Wii U:

“We don’t have any news for the Wii U at this time, as we aren’t dating next generation platforms yet. Stay tuned.”

There you have it. Unlike EA, Activision is classifying the Wii U as a next-gen system and it will be making announcements about the Wii U whenever it decides to make official announcements about the next Xbox and PlayStation 4. Stay tuned, as we expect more information will be given after May 21.
