Call of Duty: Ghosts confirmed for every platform but Wii U [Updated]

[Update: There is an official Wii U logo on the main site for the game, but retailers are still not taking pre-orders.]

Today Activision finally confirmed the next title in its Call of Duty series is called Call of Duty: Ghosts. Pre-orders for the game are available from Amazon and GameStop for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Next-gen confirmation has also been made, as Activision have stated that the game will be available on the PlayStation 4 and the next-generation Xbox. Curiously enough, Activision left out any mention of the Wii U console, either for pre-order or confirmation as being available for next-gen titles.

It looks like Activision is joining EA in its lack of support for Nintendo’s most recent console, so Wii U owners who enjoyed CoD: BLOPS 2 will have to get their fix elsewhere unless something changes. What do you think of this announcement? Will you be letting Activision know why they should support the Wii U? Let us know in the comments below.
