Sniper Elite V2 confirmed for Wii U release this spring

Last week we reported on a rumor that Sniper Elite V2, the realistic WW2 sniper simulator would be coming to Wii U. Today Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley confirmed the game’s release in an interview with VG247. Kingsley stated that the Wii U version of the game will have all new controls and new interactivity featuring the Wii U GamePad. You can see some of the planned interactivity for the GamePad in the screenshot above.

Additionally, Kingsley stated:

Sniper Elite is just the kind of mature game that is perfect for the different mechanics of the Wii U. It’s been a challenge to get it right, but thanks to our team and the fantastic support of our partners at 505 Games we believe we’ve brought the unique gameplay to a whole new platform.

Are you excited about this release? Sniper Elite V2 is possibly one of the most mature titles available on any console to date, as it features realistic body and organ simulation so when you make shots, you can see exactly what parts of the body you’re piercing on your enemy.
