Nintendo TVii screenshots

The newest Wii U feature is a complete entertainment hub called Nintendo TVii. It allows users to browse TV shows, series, movies, and more, and watch them with one of the available providers. So far it supports Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. While Nintendo TVii is free to use, players will need to subscribe to the individual providers before they can watch shows. The service will be pre-loaded into every Wii U and will be free to use.

Nintendo TVii will also support TiVo, where users can set their DVR to record shows and browse what’s already there. Nintendo has confirmed that all major TV networks in the US are on board. Nintendo TVii will only be available in North America for now. Check out the first screenshots of the service, showing how the GamePad will provide a second screen experience for the user. There’s also a trailer further down.
