Nintendo made $569 million in profit last quarter

Nintendo announced its quarterly earnings report today, where the company revealed that business is good, to put it bluntly: they raked in $1.5 billion in revenue and made $569 million in profit on that.

That’s an extreme change compared to quarter before that, where the company lost $57 million.

Overall for the fiscal year, which ends in 3 months, the company expects to make $440 million.

The big reason for the massive change in just three months? Pokemon. The big profits are thanks to Pokemon Sun and Moon, which sold 14.7 million units combined, and Pokemon Go.

As for console sales, the 3DS sold 3.7 million units last quarter alongside 27 million games.

The Wii U sold just 200,000 units and 4.2 million games.

Amiibo figures sold 6.5 million units while Amiibo card sold 6.6 million units.

Finally, the company also revealed that Mario Kart 8 has sold almost 15 million units on the Wii U, making it by far the best selling game on the system.
