Yesterday a user interface screenshot showed that the Nintendo Switch will have the ability to switch user accounts on the system, and now we know just how many accounts can be used on a single system: 8.
That’s according to a Q&A session with a Nintendo rep, who confirmed that eight different accounts can be used on a single Switch console.
By comparison, the PS4 offers 16 user accounts on a single PS4, with up to 4 of them can be online at the same time. While Microsoft hasn’t officially stated how many accounts each Xbox One supports, all guest accounts on an Xbox One can take advantage of the main account’s paid online service.
It’s unknown if Nintendo will offer something similar on the Switch with their own paid online service.
