If you were a savvy shopper and plunked down an extra $50 at the beginning of the Wii U life cycle, chances are you’re a Wii U Deluxe owner. Even after the price drop, if you managed to score the 32GB console in any bundle, you’re still part of the Digital Deluxe Promotion. Most gamers seem to know about this but if you don’t, it’s essentially a 10% off of anything digital you buy for the Wii U. It’s a promotion Nintendo started in order to promote digital sales, but it’s ending December 31, 2014.
If you have yet to login and claim any of your gift cards, you’ll need to do so before then. You can check the Digital Deluxe Promotion website to see what you have eligible. For every 500 points you managed to gain, you’ll receive a 5 gift card from Nintendo from the site. The rewards are tied to your Nintendo Network ID and not your Club Nintendo account, so even if you didn’t register your Wii U with Club Nintendo (you monster, that’s 160 coins!), you should still be able to see what you’ve gained from buying games digitally.
