Nintendo, in all their infinite wisdom, have realized that there is a market for their old games. Games are timeless and can be enjoyed by any generation, no matter how old they are. That’s why the virtual console existed on the Wii. Despite the terrible job Nintendo has done so far of making varied releases available on the virtual console for the Wii U, you don’t have to wait for ports. One aspect of gaming that some gamers enjoy is the collecting of old games.
The problem with this is having all the necessary hookups in order to enjoy that experience. Modern TVs just aren’t equipped to deal with the original inputs for the NES and SNES, and Game Boy Advance games were never meant for the big screen. That’s where the Retron 5 comes in. It’s a single console that is capable of emulating five separate systems, including the Sega Genesis. Want to experience the glory days of 90s gaming without breaking the bank or resorting to emulators on your PC? This is the machine that can do that.
