A new image has surfaced on the web showing what split-screen co-op and the GamePad look like when playing Mario Kart 8. The GamePad appears to have minimal use as a second screen, with the ability to see scores at a glance and what looks to be a giant horn button.
Of course, split-screen co-op hasn’t changed much from iteration to iteration, but it’s still nice to see Nintendo includes this when other game developers have decided that online only is the way to go.
