Ballpoint Universe is coming to Wii U on March 18

The Nintendo eShop has been busy the past few months with announcements of games coming and those releasing soon. Arachnid Games have announced that they’re bringing their title Ballpoint Universe to the eShop as well. The game is a side-scrolling shooter with platformer elements, along with a unique hand-drawn art style. The game has been available on Steam for some time now, but the team finally announced on Facebook that it will be hitting the Wii U eShop in North America on March 18.

The entire game has been drawn by hand with a ballpoint pen, lending the game its name. Players will take on the role of Doodle, the game’s protagonist who must fight for creativity in a world of monsters.

There’s no information on the game being available outside of America yet, but we’ll keep our international readers up to date. In the mean time, check out the trailer above and be sure to look at the screenshots below to see if this something you’d like to play.

The game is currently priced at $3.99 on Steam, with no pricing announced for the Wii U version yet.
