We’ve known about Tengami for some time now, though developer Nyamyam wasn’t ready to talk about release dates. The game is a new take on the point n’ click adventure genre, as it’s controlled entirely by the touch screen. The charm of the world is the papercraft pop-up presentation, which documents the journey of a lonely Samurai.
Switching from one part of the page to the next in order to complete the path for the Samurai is how the story progresses. As the story unfolds, you’ll find just what has happened to the samurai in order to make him sad.
For those who can’t wait to pick up the title, you can snag it today on iOS. For those who want to experience the lush world of papercraft on the big screen, you’ll have to wait until June. As a side note, composer David Wise handled the soundtrack for the game. You may recognize that name since Wise is also responsible for the soundtrack to Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.
