The Wii U has been criticized by gaming publications from around the world — yes, even from us here at Wii U daily. Nintendo has made mistakes with their new console, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go out and buy a Wii U.
Certainly not according to a new GameStop video, where they run down several reasons why you should buy a Wii U (after spending the first minute of the video talking about all the bad things about the console).
Some of the points the GameStop video makes appear to be coming from Captain Obvious. Such as “The Wii U is the only console that offers first party Nintendo games”. It also mentions how “Wii U’s main gambit is the Wii U GamePad”. No shit, Sherlock.
Honestly, this video just seems like a cheap ploy from GameSpot to get some Nintendo fans over to their side, as they’ve been heavily focusing on Xbox/PlayStation over the past few years. The video talks about the most obvious things we’ve all known for a while — it’s as if they’re talking down to us.
That’s not to say that you shouldn’t buy a Wii U. You certainly should, if only for Wind Waker HD and Super Mario 3D World. Oh, and the upcoming Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros.
