If you were a fan of the original WiiWare title La-Mulana, I’ve got good news for you. The La-Mulana 2 kickstarter has just gone live, with the game coming from the original creators, NIGORO. La-Mulana was an instant indie classic when it debuted on PC in 2005. The game got an overhaul with updated graphics for its WiiWare version, which released in Japan in 2011 and North America in 2012. Now the developers want to create a sequel with your help.
The initial goal is only $200,000 with $57k already pledged at the time of writing. That will include release on PC, just like the first version of the game. Through stretch goals, the development team hopes to bring the game to current-gen consoles including the Wii U, PS4, and the Xbox One at a whopping $1,650,000 stretch goal.
At the rate the Kickstarter is picking up money, it’s possible we’ll see this happen. Will you pledge and help the game come to Wii U?
