Sales of Japanese games and systems for last week are now available and the Wii U saw a surprising jump to second best selling console thanks to the release of Wii Party U. Wii U sales jumped up to nearly 39k versus the mere 2k in the last week. This can be attributed to the special Wii U bundle that comes with Wii Party U, New Super Mario Bros. U, a Wii remote plus and a code for Wii Karaoke U.

These are the sort of numbers we want to start seeing for Wii U, but it’s surprising to see that they’re being brought by Wii Party U. Have you picked it up yet? Remember, the boxed copy of the game comes with a Wii Remote and a new stand for the GamePad.
