Pre-order bonuses have become a popular thing for publishers and retailers because they know you want to buy the game. They want your money early, so pre-order bonuses are a great way to get at that money. GameStop is notorious for having exclusive maps, skins, or weapons for games that incorporate those, but other retailers like Amazon, Target, and even Walmart have gotten in on the pre-order bonus trend.
That being said, the pre-order bonus for the Amazon version of Sonic Lost World is one of the stupidest bonuses I’ve seen in a long time. If you pre-order the game with Amazon right now, they’re currently offering 25 bonus lives for the game. That’s almost at the level of in-app purchases for many mobile devices.
Pre-order Sonic Lost World and receive 25 extra lives. Never have to worry again when taking those risky leaps and jumps with this bumper pack of extra lives. Access code will be emailed within two business days after your order ships.
There’s also a Deadly Six Edition of the game that comes with extra stuff already on the disc that you unlock with a code, so there’s that. I won’t be pre-ordering for “25 extra” lives. How about you?
