Nintendo returning to Gamescom this year

Last year Nintendo decided not to showcase anything at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, one of the biggest events in gaming. This year they’ll be returning, undoubtedly showcasing many of the games talked about in the past two Nintendo Direct conferences. The return of Nintendo means that the company understands how important it is to showcase their projects, which means we should get more hands on previews with games that the console sorely needs.

Other publishers that are slated to appear this year include Bethesda, EA, Konami, Warner Brothers, Wargaming, Deep Silver, and Microsoft. Microsoft is a welcome appearance as well, as the company decided to skip the conference in favor of other outlets. Gamescom is being held this year in Cologne from August 21-25.
