Did you like the LG Chromebase? If so, you will be glad to learn about the latest rumors, which indicate both Samsung and HP are planning to release All-in-One Chrome OS computers. These would come later this year (2014).<\/p>\n

This rumor comes from “Taiwan-based supply chain makers”, who swear these companies are getting ready to follow LG in the Chromebase market. As expected, we advice you to take these rumors with a grain of salt. It doesn’t seem like HP and Samsung Chromebases are unlikely to happen, though. <\/p>\n

<\/a>Samsung has been in the Chrome OS market since the beginning, and the Samsung Chromebook is one of the most popular Chromebooks ever. It only makes sense to see the Korean manufacturer invest more in Google’s web-based operating system. <\/p>\n

As for HP, they are newer to the Chrome OS game, but their computers have already proved to be quite popular. But aside from these companies’ success, the Chrome OS market is booming. <\/p>\n

Chromebooks now make for over 20% of all computer sales<\/a>, while Microsoft’s Windows numbers keep trickling down. This is why Microsoft is so worried that they have to hit Chrome OS with silly blows in their advertising. The education, business and consumer markets have found great Chrome OS adoption. <\/p>\n

We checked out the LG Chromebase at CES<\/a> this year and have to say we weren’t the most impressed. The display does shine with a 21.5-inch full HD 1080p IPS display. We can say it’s one of the best Chrome OS displays in the market (with the Pixel’s being the obvious winner). But is an AiO form factor the best solution for Google’s operating system?<\/p>\n

Those who follow Chromespot.com probably know how I feel about removing portability from a Chrome OS device. You can use Chromebooks in dock mode, which, to me, takes away the need for a stationary device. I can see it being a good device for those who never need portability, though. <\/p>\n
