Google is on a roll with glitches this weekend! Gmail, Drive and Google+ went down for a while last Friday, causing online panic all over the world. The same day, a very unique glitch showed up, it was causing a flood of emails to reach some users.

The glitch came from Google Search. Upon searching for “Gmail”, the user would then be able to click on a sub-category labeled as “Email”. Clicking this category would open a compose window with a default email already in place.

One of the emails was from unlucky user David S. Peck, who’s Hotmail (now Outlook) inbox was flooded with about 500 emails per hour. He was not able to stop them and it was hard to handle thousands upon thousands of senseless emails a day. Most of them made no sense or were blank.

What was going on?
