Nintendo has changed quite a few Mario gameplay mechanics for Super Mario Odyssey. For example, there is no game over screen anymore nor does it use the lives system<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Instead, players simply lose some of their coins and start from the most recent checkpoint. <\/p>\n

But what happens when you’ve lost all your coins? A new video shows exactly what. <\/p>\n

And… Nothing much happens. You still get back to the same spot if you had any coins to lose. <\/p>\n

But since players can earn a lot<\/em> of coins in the game, it’s highly unlikely that most players will ever run out.<\/p>\n
