Using a recovery image for restore a laptop is not a simple process, but it’s something we all have to go through at some point. There is really no one way to do this – every platform and computer has its own process. In Chrome OS you have to use the image burner at chrome:\/\/imageburner. Google is trying to make this process much simpler and universal, though. <\/p>\n

The Chromium team is currently working on a Chrome OS Recovery Tool app. It will take advantage of the imageWriterPrivate<\/em> API to make it easier to write images. These can then be easily put in removable storage and used at one’s will. <\/p>\n

I hate having to go through this process, so any tool that makes it easier to restore a computer is welcome! Let’s wait and see when this app is released. <\/p>\n
