To put it in perspective, the original Splatoon sold just 156,000 units during its first three days. Meaning that the sequel has sold over four times as many copies on launch day.<\/p>\n
This makes Splatoon 2 the biggest Switch launch game in Japan ever, beating out Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. <\/p>\n
In fact, Splatoon 2 sold more units during its first 3 days than the combined sales of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Arms.<\/p>\n
