In a new interview with a Japanese newspaper<\/a>, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima has confirmed his company is looking into producing their own movies as a way to generate new avenues of income. We’ve already seen some licensing deals struck with Nintendo in the form of Wreck-It Ralph and Pixels, but according to the interview, this new effort would see Nintendo remain in creative control of the movies it produces.<\/p>\n

According to Kimishima, none of the projects being considered are live-action films and Nintendo is looking at several different studios around the world to find the perfect partnership for this new venture.
