When Star Fox Zero made its debut back at E3 last year, I was pretty disappointed<\/a> in what I saw. I thought the game looked more like a remaster rather than a game made from the ground up for the Wii U, and the new controls seemed too gimmicky. <\/p>\n

Fast forward to the game’s release, and critics have cited issues<\/a> in the same areas I didn’t like during the reveal, with Polygon refusing to even review it at all. This all had me ready to bypass the game, but with it being a collaboration between my two favorite companies in the gaming industry, Nintendo and Platinum Games, I decided to take a chance on it anyway. <\/p>\n

Coming in with low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised with what I played. It’s not a perfect game by any means, but it’s a solid Star Fox experience. In the video below, I examine why Star Fox Zero is better than you think. <\/p>\n
