In a move to get more children’s programming available on its service, Netflix has licensed<\/a> the rights to the Pokemon animated series and films. Netflix acquired the rights after Hulu dropped the rights in order to license other content. This content will be available on Netflix starting March 1.<\/p>\n

In terms of what will be available on the service, Netflix has managed to secure the rights to Pokemon: Black & White<\/em>, the 14th season of the cartoon series consisting of 48 episodes. Additionally, the first season of the series will be available as well in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland.<\/p>\n

Two Pokemon movies will also be available in all territories with Netflix, including Pokemon the Movie: Black – VIctini and Reshiram<\/em> and Pokemon the Movie: White – Victini and Zekrom<\/em>.<\/p>\n

As for Hulu, the service purchased the rights to stream the Pokemon season 10 animated series, which follows the storyline of the Diamond & Pearl games. In addition to season 10, seasons 11-13 will follow streaming on Hulu later. Fans of the animated series and the movies should rejoice, as there are now new ways to experience the old shows.
