Child of Light<\/em> creative director Patrick Plourde has said in an interview<\/a>\u00a0that the upcoming downloadable title, published by Ubisoft, will make full use of the Wii U GamePad. While no specifics were given, it is encouraging to see developers eager to take advantage of the GamePad’s functionality.<\/p>\n

When announced<\/a>, Child of Light<\/em> dazzled with its visuals, which are powered by the UbiArt Framework. It also showcased how it blended together two seemingly disparate genres: the platformer and the RPG.<\/p>\n

Now we that we know there are some Wii U-specific features, we are even more intrigued.\u00a0Igniculus, the companion character of the game, will likely work in a similar fashion as Murphy did in Rayman Legends.<\/p>\n
