It’s that time of year again.\u00a0The time when we look back at the previous 12 months and all the many and varied gaming experiences they’ve brought us.<\/p>\n

For Wii U it’s been a strange but rewarding twelve months, but the limited number and huge variety of titles released for the system means many traditional game of the year categories (best shooter, best RPG) don’t make much sense here.<\/p>\n

That’s why we at Wii U Daily are hosting our own awards. We’ve nominated a handful of titles in each of 15 Wii U-specific categories to celebrate the best games released for Nintendo’s home console in the last 12 months. The rest is up to you.<\/p>\n

Voting is now open, so choose from the nominees below and cast your vote. Be sure to share this page to ensure the biggest voter turnout possible, and stay tuned in the weeks ahead as we announce the winners and take a long look back at the year that was. Happy voting!<\/p>\n

Note: All games considered are available on Wii U and had a North American release date of between December 5 2012 and December 5 2013. Ports and re-releases of older games were considered, although Virtual Console games were confined to their own categories.<\/p>\n
